Step-by-Step

To link LeanData's routing and scheduling process to the leads or contacts created through your HubSpot form, you'll need to add a hidden field to your form using the steps below. This hidden field stores the BookIt Log ID that will later be passed to the Salesforce record via your marketing automation platform.

If you already have a custom method to accomplish this, feel free to skip this guide and use the approach that best fits your workflow.

Note: The appearance of the HubSpot form builder may vary depending on your account or UI version. The steps remain the same across both versions, and this guide includes side-by-side screenshots to support each.

Step 1: Create a New Property on the HubSpot Contact Object

Start by creating a new property on the Contact object in HubSpot. You can name this property anything you'd like, but we recommend using ld_bookit_log_id.

⚠️ Important: Make sure to note the exact Internal Name of this property —you’ll reference it in a later step.

Set the field type of this field as Single-line text as shown below.

Step 2: Create a Matching Field on Your Salesforce Lead/Contact Object

Now that you’ve created the property in HubSpot, you’ll need to create a corresponding field on the Lead or Contact object in Salesforce.

⚠️ Important: The API name of the Salesforce field must match the internal name of the HubSpot property you created (e.g., ld_bookit_log_id). This ensures that the value passes correctly between systems.

Step 3: Add The Hidden Field to Your HubSpot Form

Add the property you created (ld_bookit_log_id) to your HubSpot form. Be sure to set the form field as hidden so that it’s not visible to users filling out the form.
